It is especially poignant considering a short time (18 months) after recording the album he died of cancer. A beautiful album and tribute to all those on a difficult journey. My sister and I have been thinking of walking the Camino for some time now. From all that I've read and researched, it requires a great amount of physical preparation but everyone who actually completes the pilgrimage is forever changed spiritually. There are many wonderful sites on the Camino online, including blogs by former pilgrims with the history, information on the various places one can stay as one travels toward Santiago de Compostela. Most think of the 500 mile French route when they think of the Camino but there are actually several "caminos", some from within Spain and another from Portugal. I recently read that actor Martin Sheen and his son Emilio Estevez were working on a film on "El Camino de Santiago".
