The Divine Mercy Novena

By

I’ve been much too quiet this Lent and now, “suddenly”, here we are at Good Friday!

TODAY is the first day of the Divine Mercy novena!  This is an amazing gift that I hope you’ll participate in.

Novena: a Roman Catholic devotion consisting of prayers on nine consecutive days

That’s putting it very simply but it’s quite accurate, too. Last year I posted the prayers for each of the nine days, and this year I’m going to repost them.  I’ve also added yet another tab – this one just for the Divine Mercy Novena prayers.

So, this post is simply a reminder that TODAY is the day to begin.

I wish you and your families a blessed and most wonderful Triduum and Easter!

If you’re in the midst of the pain of separation and divorce, keep in mind what Jesus and those who loved him experienced – and how they triumphed over the pain and hardships.  You can, too!  Jesus and Mary and all those who followed Him while he was on this earth…and those who followed him after He was “gone”…they’re our examples.  They were human and they made mistakes (sometime REALLY serious ones…think St. Paul here for just one example!) and they lived through very painful experiences…and they found their ways to God and joy.  Notice that I’m not saying their lives became easy and always happy.  That’s not going to happen.  However, even with pain and adversity, we can be joyful.

May God bless and bring you peace.
